Molex PowerCat 6 U/UTP cable is a key component of our end-to-end Category 6 solution designed for Gigabit Ethernet support. Molex recommends that the PoE feature on an individual switch port are power disabled prior to unplugging the associated powered Device.  

Molex PowerCat 6 U/UTP Patch Cords are key components of PowerCat 6 U/UTP End-to-End Solution and are designed to support data networks for 10/100BASE-T and 1000BASE-T applications. The patch cable is made from high quality four pair 24 AWG stranded copper wire. Available in a range of colors and lengths, PowerCat 6 patch cords are pre terminated with RJ45 plugs and feature anti-snag slim strain relief slip on boots.

The PowerCat 6 DataGate Jack is designed to maintain clean secure connections. The RJ-45 jack features a patented ‘spring-loaded shutter’ which protects it from dust and contaminants as well as provides tactile feedback - the spring loaded shutter pops out an improperly seated patch cord–all with single handed plug-in and removal. DataGate jacks utilize patented IDC V-shaped contacts that flex not fatigue when terminated.
